How To Clean Up Your Trashed Windows XP

The answer is simple..Reformat your hard disk..but before you do that, make sure you back-up your previous data first using whatever external device you have such as your thumbdrive, an external hard disk, burn it on a CDR or my favourite, transfer the files on your other partition. Most people that I know sometimes overlooked on their partition, it is sometime left under-utilized. Another important stuff is to make sure you have all the necessary driver. If you can format your computer and make it back to normal, I want to Congratulate you for saving hundreds of dollar if you were to send your computer at your local computer shop. Of course I only charge a minimal fee if you are kind enough to send it to my place..hehe..

Last weekend, after more than one year my Celeron 1.7GHz with 256MB RAM computer has been running on Windows XP Professional. The moment I've been expecting came, the Windows got corrupted and the blue death screen re-appear after hibernating for so long. I've used to have my Windows corrupted, I also lost count on how many times I have been installing Windows ever since Microsoft DOS was created. Heck, I bet most of the people nowadays doesn't even know how to install DOS. Well, it's a thing of the past.

Many people including myself would like to know, why does my Windows XP get slows down after using them for a couple of month. The simple answer is, if you stuff a lot of stuff in your hard drive, it will take time for you yourself to find it. Same goes for the PC itself. As for me, I love trying out, test and look at softwares that I can get my hands on. So, my 40GB hard disk is not enough and most of the time, only 1GB is available and that is for the sake of the virtual memory.

Over the time you are using Windows, it creates back-up data just in case something happen. That data can sometime gets duplicated. On my case, there are a couple of thousands of raw folder which contains virtually nothing. So, what its left is just the folder with no data. Imagine having to open a folder and find nothing. Same goes with your computer. I hate it when that happen. So after a day of tinkering back my Windows system back to normal, I now have a whistle clean PC. It's a nice feeling to have something that works perfectly.

I end my post here with the image below. I know some of my reader would really love to find one of these inside their mailbox.

Studiotraffic Cheque

This was my own cheque I have obtained earlier this month. Kirksman, if you are reading this, thanks for introducing this program to me..hehe..If you want to know how get a cheque just like the one above, click on it and send me an e-mail FAST!!

Driving South with Mitsubishi Pajero V34 Diesel

When I first learned how to drive, I was so excited that when I got my license, I always wanted to be behind the wheel of a car. Things changed nowadays as driving became a habitual stuff that I do every single day. How I wish I had a driver while I just sit and lounge at the back seat in the KL City traffic jam.

Yesterday, I had to deliver a vehicle to one of my company's client. Supposedly the dealer shouldhave sent the car but my management is not willing to pay another RM300 for their cost on sending the car. It is much cheaper doing it ourselves. It is a pity how my top management make some decision, they are willing to sacrifice their own man-power just to save a few ringgit. I could have made a complete proposal using the time spent driving to Johor.

Here is the car and I'll come to the car review afterward:

This Mitsubishi Pajero is the last of its kind produce these days. The dealer said they are phasing out this vehicle for newer models. I kind of like the design and the look. Unfortunately, I have to give 2 stars out of 10 because of the bumpy ride and hard seat which made our discomfort 4 hours journey. Since it uses a diesel engine, the roaring sound of the engine is normal. I personally buy this vehicle if I wish to go on a 4 by 4 in the jungle. Driving around town is not so fashionable to me. On the other hand, for government servant, it is a formal and stylish ride especially going out on an outstation trip.

3 days off starting today. I'm going to format my PC. I'll write about it once my PC has a new fresh system. Merry Christmas..

The CEO Journey

Ever wondered what does it take to be a CEO of a successful company. Check it out by clicking here. Eventhough some of the CEO in today's world didn't really do well in their studying years but if you had the chance to study then why not give yourself a chance to further your education. If you've watched Donald Trump's The Apprentice, the winners are usually those who have higher education. Still it is up to you to decide your own path.

I'm Pissed

Today I am a bit pissed because of my boss kept on blaming me for my wrong doing I've done. I think everyone will be pissed when you are blamed by someone. The thing was about something that he ordered me to do. However as an employee I know that I will get nothing out of thing he told me to do except for my lousy paycheck. My boss will earn millions in revenue if the deal goes through while I just sit in this office and see those numbers on papers while my numbers in my own bank account depleted. I need to do something about it.

To calm myself down, I read my e-mails and found this article. Why All Those "Positive Thinking" Products Don't Work And How To Use The One Key To Skyrocket To Success! by Bryan Kumar. This article could shorten my success journey as I now have the advantage to boost further. I'm going to read this article oftenly.

How I Wish I Had A Company Like This..

Eric Schmidt, CEO of Google and Hal Varian, consultant of Google had wrote an article-

Google: Ten Golden Rules. After reading those 10 rules, I wish I own a company like Google. I know it is a long way to go if I ever would build a company like that on my own. Guess I have to keep on searching and looking forward.

Top 3 Reasons of Working in Small Companies

My boss is a good friend of my father's. It is one of the reason I haven't been job hopping for a while which is quite often known for youngsters such as myself. For the past 2 years I've been involved in the working life, I have been with 4 different companies. I've seen how big companies operate, I have also seen how small companies do and very small companies perform. Each one of them have their own advantages and disadvantages.

So, today I would like to highlight some of the advantages that you can get if you choose to work with small companies. In today's oversupply of jobless graduate, personally I encourage those who are jobless to join micro small or small companies as their stepping stone if they have attempted using the traditional way to climb the corporate ladder and failed but really wish to embark on a corporate path for big companies.

1) You'll learn about almost everything about anything the company does.

In small companies, you can choose to know about everything that the company is doing. For example, small companies usually don't have a massive pile of files. So, in your free time during working hours, you can glance through all those files (if you have the access of course) and gain an extra amount of knowledge about the company's past operation, history etc. The most useful would always be, The Financial Statement because that is how you will know when you can ask for a raise or not.

2) Wear many type of hats.

In small companies, you are responsible over a lot of areas. You will be the manager, the clerk, the receptionist, the dishwasher, the typist, the security guard and one of my favourite, the despatch guy. You can also influence the decision maker which is your boss and probably turn that decision towards your favour.

3) Freedom...Almost

Since small companies doesn't really pay you a hefty huge salary, you're not really liable for the company's time you've spent loitering around at the coffee shop. However, this is a bad example and shouldn't be followed. Use your time wisely such as thinking of ways for your company to grow and expand and becoming more profitable.

Well, that is the top 3 reasons that I think you can consider should you become jobless or needed a change in your career. Eitherway, always go for personal development because that is what life is all about and most of all, have fun.

Is Your Habit Productive Enough?

Humans are habitual creatures. When you say you have changed, you don't really change. Probably only a portion that was changed and that is it. I have been surfing the internet for 9 years so it is so difficult to change that habit. Surfing the internet is like consuming your food. You'll always need to replenish each time your supply runs low. It also means that you are just storing something inside you but didn't do a thing to work on it. So, as long as you keep on consuming, you'll never be on top of your game. In other word, you will just be an average Joe.

To become successful, rich and wealthy, we need to identify our productiveness. My productivity is still very low as I haven't been able to overcome my consuming habits. When I have slowly changed my habits, I need to further continue on how to 'leverage'. After all the personal development seminar, books, tape, motivation group call, that is all I have to conclude about myself. Simple, yet invaluable.

To supply the World Wide Web with contents. I've redesigned and re-edited my personal page. However, it doesn't look good yet:

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Designing take away tremendous amount of my time. It would be much more practical to just download a new template. So the next step is to find another interesting and appealing web template. I have another day off tomorrow.

Ever Heard of Segway?

I've never heard of Segway but I wish I had one. I admit that eventhough my body is quite underweight, I am lazy to walk. Guess I need to reset my mindset again and again.

If you want to know more about it, go to Segway Official Website. Now where can I find one of those at my nearby store?? Mmm..

Wedding Months?

The past several weeks, on each weekends, I happened to be joining my friend's wedding. It makes me wonder 'When would be my time?'. Of course I had to answer to myself that it is not going to be soon enough. Still, you will never know what will happen to the future. So I'd just better 'go with the flow'. Make myself like water running down a stream. Probably some crap thinking for some people.

Being a blogger is like chatting on MiRC. I got addicted once I got the hang of it. However, several days not doing it, there is some kind of feeling 'not doing something'. It's a failure kind of feeling. Sometime it is encouraging, sometimes it's discouraging. It is so much easy to quit but it is so difficult to sustain the momentum.

This time I'm not going to post any pictures. I just wanted to remind myself on what responsibilty I should do. Till my next post, got to rediscover myself again. Cheers..

Oracle-The Information Company

I've never heard of Oracle Corporation until last year when I was learning about databases. I keep asking myself, why didn't I know about them before. Anyhow, I'm glad I do know about it now rather than later. Oracle creates database application for business critical enterprise level solutions. They have all sort of software and solutions that I can't really remember what they call them except for the one product that I'm currently in charge over an IT project.

Oracle Malaysia held a technology summit at Sunway Convention Centre, Sunway Pyramid. They wanted to model what they've experienced at San Francisco Oracle OpenWorld 2005. Unfortunately, it didn't happen probably because the lack of participation. Unlike Microsoft where everybody knows and use it all the time, Oracle isn't your daily application you are using. Heck, I don't even know how Oracle software look like except for yesterday of course. One attendant who asked one of speakers during a Q&A session said, he would stay away from Oracle as they are very expensive. No wonder the crowd weren't as many as I attended Microsoft Office Day Out at the same venue.

As usual, I don't like my blog to just be some text based page. I like to add variety to it by spicing up some photos, even if the photos are not attractive. I'll fill in the details along the way:

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

A banner of Oracle. I like their simplicity branding.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Their booth got 4 different section. Most visitor went to the lucky draw wheel spin to get their free gift. I like the 10g database product because the person who occupies the booth is a very informative person. I guess he reads a lot and knows a lot about Oracle, he is a very good salesman.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

This is the 3rd speaker presenting his presentation. He is from Intel. Unlike the 2 earlier speakers, I like his presentation style since it contains a lot of the latest information. He told the crowd about Intel business and technology path toward the future. Do you know that Pentium-D is a dual core microprocessor? I just learned that during his presentation. I think I'll go to his presentation again some other time.

So, attending these technology events without a degree in IT is not making a good impression when I'm networking socially. I think I'll pursue my IT degree next year.

I've Been Featured

Yesterday, I attend my usual weekly project meeting. For the record, I have no experience whatsoever handling an official meeting yet I had to be the timekeeper and I was the one in charge over the minute meeting report. I was then had to become the point of communication between the client and my company. Pretty big responsibilty that is put on my shoulder right now. On top of that, I am also the office administrator, receptionist, decision influencer and also the webmaster for the small company that my boss owns. Enough said, I am officially trapped in the 'Rat Race' and no where near the 'Financial Freedom' that I have always dream off.

Eventhough I am now trapped, I have plan of my own on how to change all this. Anyone who had played 'Strategy Game' (My all time favourite would be Monopoly and Transport Tycoon-a computer game) will have an idea on how to deal with it. Of course there will always be risk involved, but in any game you play, you will first lose a lot before you win unless if you are familiar with the game flow. When playing whatever game, it is the knowledge and practice you've acquired can determine between success and failure. The same applies in the world of business or career. What I have to do now is to keep my mind open of any possibilities.

I want to introduce a friend of mine by the name of Vincent Rich. He is a full time online internet marketer where he collects a lot of commission cheques from various sources. I am aspired to be like him in a couple of years from now. Here's my latest look featured on his website:

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

In his blog, he explains a lot of useful information from a normal people point of view. I really dislike how internet marketing gurus are telling how good their product is. Heck, I still tend to buy one. Lucky the one that hold me back from buying is, I don't have a credit card.

Don't forget to play games when you have the time. It'll keep your mind sharp. Enjoy..

Your Way of Undressing Reflects Your Personality !!

The title of this e-mail forwarded to me really catches my interest. Not that I am being a pervert but it is interesting to know these psychological behaviour of a human being. Let's read what it has to say:

Till now you might have heard that clothes reflect ones personality.
Well now that fact is as old as pintux.

Here's an interesting forward that claims to reveal your personality traits according to the way you undress. So are you a pealer or a teaser?

Well, the way you undress might just help you discover yourself better.
Go on and indulge in self-exploration. Throw, dump, remove, just do your own thing...

1. If you throw your clothes all over the place, you're a friendly,
life-of-the-party type. You are free with your thoughts and opinions, not caring much about what others think of you.

Your parents might think your room looks like a cyclone's hit it? But it actually represents your happy, individualistic nature! Stay that way!

2. If you remove each piece of clothing and put it away carefully, you are a serious person who likes life to be very calm. You are comfortable with routine work. And you believe that the best way to deal with life's problems is to prevent them in the first place.

You are a perfectionist. By nature you are quite shy. You're dependable and sometimes intense. You think carefully before making decisions. You go about your tasks methodically, with concentration.

3.If you take off the shirt, and ten minutes later get around to the pants, you are an extremely self-confident person. You are naturally bright and intellectual.

You are also a deep thinker who loves to ask questions and ponder over the meaning of things.

You hate being rushed and you do not like to be hassled. Usually you like a lot of free time for yourself.

4.If you get out of your clothes as quickly as possible, you are
concerned about others and what they expect from you, but you're worried about your own needs.

You are family-oriented, and stay extremely busy.

You often feel stressed, but most of those heavy expectations come from your own head! Give yourself a break, you don't have to be perfect!

5.If you take off your rings, earrings, necklace, watch, etc before anything else, you are a warm and sensitive person.

You are considerate and thoughtful, and you give good advice to your friends. You are a natural born romantic.

Helping friends or anybody for that matter is your second nature. You hate liars and you would love the world to become a better place.

6. If you don't have an undressing routine and you never do it the same way twice, you are a very curious and interesting person. You enjoy a broad range of activities. You take risks and enjoy fun and adventure.

The word monotony cannot dampen your spirits at any cost, as you live life kingsize. Having fun is as much a part of your routine as slogging it out at office.

Hope you could judge yourself by now.

Rainy Days

It has been raining daily since the last couple of weeks. Today, while hanging out in my office and enjoying the lake view. It was raining very heavily and look at what I saw:

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

The bridge that connects a small hut has submerged into the water. Taking a closer look, here's what I really saw:

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

I guess, the couple was having some private moment there when suddenly the rain came pouring down. Normally, when it rains this heavily, there will be flash flood that will happen in Kuala Lumpur. Anyway, the trapped couple got away a few minutes after the rain ease off.

A piece of advice, be prepared when you go on a date..shall you..have a nice day..

Leaders Are Made, Not Born

Every morning, when I come to my office. I'll spend an hour reading and digesting various IT information which is essential as my career depends on it. Eventhough my background isn't IT related but I am more into IT solution now than ever before. Just now I read an article that really inspires me. Eventhough I am just a plain lower end employee, I have a vision of building my own legacy.

Here's an excerpt of the article written by By John Stelzer, Director of Industry Development, Sterling Commerce.

It's not the size of the army that validates the leader. In fact, a great leader need not have any “followers” at all to qualify as a leader. It’s the pro-active ownership of responsibility for achieving the quest—however great or small—that signals the qualities of a leader. A leader is not necessarily leading others as much as he or she is able and willing to take the lead in addressing a situation that yields the greater good for someone or something—a.k.a. the vision. John Erskine pointed out that “In the simplest terms, a leader is one who knows where he wants to go, gets up, and goes.”

This excerpt totally changed my mindset since before this, I thought that being a big CEO big shot is the way of a true leader. Well, we all sometimes can become narrow minded when we don't open up to the things around us.

Microsoft KL Ready Worldwide Launch 2005 Event

It has been a while since I last went to a formal event. So yesterday, Microsoft has organized their Ready Worldwide Launch 2005. Practically, this event is not really relevant to what I am doing at the moment, however I always have a passion into the latest technologies, software and hardware. The event was held at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. Here's a few shot I've taken:

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

The front entrance

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

I only registered for the Technical Session. The other sessions were too boring for me to bare with.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Such event comes with sponsorship and promotions. This is where Microsoft Partners showcase their product and services. Nothing interesting if you ask me.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Normally, there are tonnes of freebies I can get my hands on. Anyway, since I came there late and all the freebies were snatched, this is all I got.

My next formal event would be Oracle Technology Summit 2005 this 29th November at Sunway Convention Centre, Petaling Jaya. Actually, I have no knowledge about Oracle Technology, but I do know that the software my company is selling is using it as its back-end support. Oh well, let's just see how it goes..

In the mean time, I'll be blogging a lot more stuff here. Thanks for reading.

The "Break Down" Emotion

I just finished watching one of my favourite TV Series 24 on 8TV . It's the final episode. It is amazing how a 24 hours time of a bunch of people can be stretch into months of weekly episode. Anyway, I loved the show.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

I don't have satellite TV as it is expensive plus, if you have several TVs in your house, it is not worth to pay if you can only watch one channel at a time while your other house members wanted to watch something else. So, for now, I have to stick with the free TV broadcast.

The last part of the 24 is the part I liked the most. It was when Jack Bauer, the main character of the story break down and cried in his car. If you haven't felt or experienced that kind of moment, you are missing out on the wonders and the sweetness of being a mortal human. I recently experienced that special 'break Down' moment, it was a magical time when you are at your most bottom and unpleasant feeling. It makes me stronger after that. While I don't encourage anyone to get into the trouble to experience this emotion, there will be a time for you to experience this later in your life.

As a conclusion, enjoy your life and keep moving on.

How To Breathe Properly & Efficiently

July last year, I participate at a Wealth Seminar conducted by a British Wealth Master who has been living and doing various business activity here for the last 7 years. He was practically my wealth mentor, I devoted nearly a year of my time working at his company and learned a lot of thing. He was also a student of Anthony Robbins, the most well known so called 'Success Mentor' in the personal development business. Amazingly, I only knew about Anthony Robbins fame after I bought his book for RM10 at MPH in Mutiara Damansara, Petaling Jaya. The book was on sale at that time, I just happened to be there and not knowing anything about him, I just bought the book because of the low price..haha..

Back to our topic, during the wealth seminar (you can read about the seminar here) I learned that my breathing was wrong. The proper way to breathe is by using your stomache, your stomache must push forward when you inhale and pushes back when you exhale. Just try looking at a baby's breathing, it is the natural way to breathe. My normal breathing is by the type of breathing an aerobic instructor told us to do when we do work out. It's a shame for how smart we are, we are still told to do all types of wrong doing in our life.

If you are wondering what is the benefit of breathing properly or you need a lesson on breathing, click on the link below and you'll have a better understanding of breathing for your healthy life:

RSS? What The Hell Is That?? (Part 2)

I have been blogging for merely more than a year now. My traffic is nothing to be proud of, but it keeps on increasing day by day. That is if I keep on constantly updating my blog.

By the way, I found Andy Wibbels on Google. Basically I forgot what is the address for Google Reader so I searched for it. This guy has been blogging for 4 years already. He still blog and now has a few product created just on blogging and podcasting (I am going to learn about Podcasting after this). He also created an awesome Flash Video on How To Use Google Reader. If you are lazy to read or lazy to play around something you see 'complicated', then watch this video.

Okay now..Going to feed my mind with blogsss..Bye

RSS? What The Hell Is That??

If I am not mistaken last year, before my computer corrupted and I had to reinstall my OS and all my software back to what is were before. I've installed a software for a method called RSS. Basically it stands for Real Simple Syndication and it is used for feeding information without you having to work out for it. I like the fact that you don't have to search and look out for something, it is just too time consuming these days. As we all know, we are all lazy. Even the most hardworking person are lazy too. Sometimes, it just an excuse and sometime it is just so hard to get out of your comfort chair or bed. Anyhow, it is better to keep things simple and easy, right?

Okay, yesterday while I was surfing around. I found this feature on Google (See the screenshot below) so I played around with it:

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Well, new stuff can take a long time for people to get the hang of it. That includes myself as well. So I did some reading and I found out that, RSS it's all over the place these days. I can't believe why I didn't see it before. You can get some business point of view using RSS here.

So now I urge all my readers, to subscribe to my RSS Feed. How do you that? It is really simple (yet if you don't have the knowledge, it can get you into trouble ;-p ) Okay right click on the XML button below, copy the link location and paste it on your feed subscription. How do you use the feed, you learn it slowly and make it a practice. Practice becomes habit in the long run.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

I going to update my blog skin when I have the time. Write again soon. Be sure to subsribe to my RSS so that you don't have to log into my blog to read my new post. Have a nice day.

Acquire 'Wealth' With Speed

It has been nearly a week of non-blogging holiday. My festive season will still go on until early next month. It will be a month of eating delicious food after a month of fasting. I was away 400km from my home. Just came back yesterday. It was rejuvenating and a nice change of perspective.

Today, as usual I took a couple of hours of my working time trying to educate myself about wealth without the hassle of working so hard. During my holiday, I've seen and met various of my family members and they have no clue of why they're not going anywhere despite of their hard work and effort. Sometime, I am thankful of the opportunities that lies in front of me and the exposure that I have been blessed to look upon. It changed my entire perspective thoroughly eventhough my 'peanuts' earning kept bugging me the entire time.

What I found today is a fascinating information and I would really like to share it to as many people as possible. If you don't like reading, just try read it. If you are reluctant to read, just read it. If you don't want to read, then it's your choice. Just read this free e-book:

Happy Eidul Fitri

I am still blogging in the wee hours of the morning since I overslept during the daytime. Only a few hours away of the yearly Eidul Fitri prayers at 8.30am in the morning. After that, the usual family meeting and eating various high cholestorol food. I know the food is not so healthy but once in a while, I hope my body can cope with that.

The dropped broadband line I've been experiencing for the past several weeks has been resolved just a couple of hours back. Hopefully it will never happen again or I'll be forced to switch to another broadband provider competitor. The reason for the whole month of dropped bandwitdh (I tested the dial-up, it was even speedier than the broadband) was for a 'slam down' (I don't even know what it mean though; guessing that the server was hit by DDOS attack or something). Apparently, only my area was affected. I was then had to rely on my office internet connection for blogging or any online activities.

I'm following my family on a trip to Kedah more than 300km from where I am staying tomorrow night. I'll be back again blogging probably on Monday or Tuesday. Until then, have a great weekend.

My New Learning Blog

I get bored and sleepy just by reading. Sometime I sit in front of my computer and start to read countless of my e-mail newletter I've subscribed. So, I need to end that and convert my old habit into a new one. Thus, I will now practice to write more than I read. To do that, I've created a blog about Learning CSS and Web Authoring.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Actually, I have another blog but that one has become dormant the last couple of weeks. It kind of hard to knock off your old habit. It comes naturally within my comfort zone. Anyway, the purpose of the blog is to report my learning progress on Cascade Style Sheet which is quite useful for aspiring webmaster such as myself. Of course there are tools that can help cut down my CSS learning process, however I need to also learn the details of CSS so that I know how it works. By that, then would I can become an expert of it.

By the way, November's edition of Personal Magazine (A financial magazine by The Edge Daily) featured "Making Money on the Net" on its cover page. A few Malaysian bloggers were featured and its an emerging industry for IT people or non IT people to discover how they can make a living at it, as their alternative career. Grab a copy of it at your local book stand (Malaysian people of course). It is just RM9 a copy.

Enough promoting for now. I'll be writing more as part of my writing practice.

Festive Seasons Coming

With only 2 days left before the Eid Fitr, I am still working here at my office. Still, for my Indian friends I just want to wish you tomorrow:

HAPPY DEEPAVALI!!

P/S: Happy shopping too.. ;-)

Would You Like To Sell Your Blog?

If someone would like to buy your blog, at what price would you be placing it? If you asked me, I really don't know. I think my blog looks crappy but I do think it contains part of my life and valuable of informations in it. To be honest, I've never reviewed any of my past archived blog entries. What about you? Do you read them? One thing for sure, I hope my family members didn't read it as it'll sure uncovers hidden stories I haven't told them..hehe..

Anyway, I found a tool that could determine your blog worth. Here's what my blog is worth at:

My blog is worth $3,387.24.
How much is your blog worth?

So check it out what is your blog worth.

P/S: I wish I could sell off my blog, the money is tempting but my pathetic nostalgic stories are more invaluable..decisions..decisions..Anyone? Hehe..

Here's A Paid E-Book You Can Read For Free

I love e-books. It doesn't get clogged in my bedroom or my work table in the office. It only uses a measly few kb in space in my gigabytes of hard drive. So, it's quite handy. Nevertheless, the reading experience is different from reading a hard cover book.

Anyway, before I give you the link to the self improvement e-book I've just read, I would like to write something else first (If you are eager to read the book, ignore what I'm going to write and just scroll down and click on the link).

4 days have past since my last post. I experienced so many things. It has been raining heavily the past couple of days. My weekend was very lame. Met old schoolmate friends during 'berbuka puasa' gathering, gosh they've change and many of them are married (for me 24 is still quite young). My house is now invaded by caterpillers (don't know what is it called in English, but we call it 'ulat bulu'). Hundreds of them are swarming the outside wall of my house (I'll get a picture of it tomorrow). If I start blogging about it, probably my time are wasted doing something which is not making me money.

Oh well..things happen but the most importantly, I determine what is going to happen next. Awesome stuff when you are a self-improvement junky but haven't yet succeeded. Anyway, here's the link to the E-book I mentioned to you earlier:

The BD Syndrome

Digest the information well. It'll change your way of thinking towards success.

After Birthday..

My internet connection at home sucks. I don't know why but I think it has something to do with TM Net Streamyx connection node in my area. I think it's overcrowded and Telekom is not doing its job to handle such high capacity in my housing area. Now they have this 'member gets member' campaign. The broadband business is no doubt a very lucrative business but the quality must also be reasonable, if not it is no point paying a flat rate of RM88 every month but the connection is merely resembles the dial-up connection.

Enough on bashing up TM Net. Now let's go on with my story. I love cakes, especially chocolate cake. It's so YUMMY!!!

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

This was my last birthday cake. It is an ice cream chocolate cake. I don't know what to write on my own cake so the word 'Sweet' appeared on the cake..haha..

My week last week was a hectic week, except for Friday where its a public holiday for where I work. At some time, it feels good to work, at least I am no 'potato couch' who just sit in front of the tv doing nothing. Lucky for me, my house don't have those satelite TV if not I would probably hooked.

Have a nice weekend everyone..

My 24th Birthday!

I just celebrated my 24th birthday yesterday. Bought a RM33 ice cream chocolate cake. I got the pictures but haven't upload it yet. I've been busy managing all kind of stuff, personal and work. My personal life was a wreck last week but I managed to disassociate it my work. Got lots of meeting to attend these days. I guess you cannot expect to get what we call 'Instant Gratification' yet.

In the mean time, I was very surprised to see that the website I've created last time was back online. It somehow appeared on the top rank of google as you can see from the picture below. (Click on the image to enlarge it)

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

I am not sure of which part of the world my site on google got that top position but I do know that the position in Google rank is very volatile unless you are a big shot here on the internet. However, we can always test and test and test. If only I had the time...

I'll write again soon..

The Silent Battle

Apparently, the free web host that I've subscribed to gave up on me. Free stuff online doesn't really last long, I've notice this for quite a while. Its all about the money these days. All the stuff these days are all about exposure, advertising and the holy dough that makes the world go round..MONEY..

It is not that I am a stingy person. I sold 2 domain names (RM40 each~USD10) and a web host (RM35/year~USD9) to a friend of mine. I totally can afford to have a domain name and a web host since its cheap now (my cost is only RM65 ~USD17 for both a .com domain name and a 50MB web host). It's just that I don't know what my domain name should be. If you want to buy a domain name or web host, it could be done. Just contact me, my profit is just peanuts but I can live with it..hehe..

BTW, I've moved my website to another temporary free webhost. You can go and check it out by clicking here. I am buying my own domain and hosting next month when I get my 'peanuts' salary. Anyway, I think I should just abandoned that website and let the search engines try to find it. I hate those banners they put on my page, same goes to my geocities page. If you don't know this, if you own a Yahoomail account, you definitely have a 15MB geocities webspace. Yahoo also gives you a lot more features than you can probably use. I myself underutilized all the features given.

In another unrelated occassion, I am in another silent war with my employer. It seems like my employer has some serious issues of 'Whats In It For Me' compared to 'Whats In It For Them' (that means, me and my other colleague). I am thinking of abandoning this company I am working for since my well being are being ignored. My role in the company is very important that if I don't come to work, the company would be dead. I think I should run my own company if that is the case.

It's tough being tested in the 'Ramadhan' Month. My emotion are swelled, my priorities shaken, my intellectual side being tarnish and most of all, my dream is becoming harder to reach. All the things that is left is hope. I hope my life would become better and I pray to god that it'll be over very soon.

Yours sincerely,

Ashrufzz

New Website

I've been procrastinating..A LOT!!! I hate myself for that, maybe you hated it too when you do that to yourself. I will not brag, but small brag is quite acceptable, isn't it??hehe..I am a talented person. I have this capability of doing other people cannot do. Underpressure, I can even perform things more than my expectation. I love to read, I read a lot every single day. Unfortunately, the information is just being contained in my underutilized brain.

Recently, a major emotional roller coaster happened to me. I had a hard blow to my unstable state of emotional drive. It was something I've thought could just happen to anyone else or on the soap drama and not me. Lucky for me, after all the emotional exhaustion, I finally came through right under the nose of everyone else beside me. My private life is conserved.

Enough about my rantings. I want to show you some progress I made on one of my planned projects. It's a kick-off plan for a series of other plans that remained dormant in my project notebook. It's also one of my long term residual income that I would hope to design. I still need to learn more and most importantly, DO MORE!!!

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

I would have never thought I could design something like what I have done. It's amazing when you just let your imagination runs wild. Well, actually it's just a template I edited and customize to my need. I'm not that talented to be creating stuff. I just made things more attractive and tune it up accordingly. Hey wait a minute, that's talent too, right?

Okay. Got loads of things to do right now. Write again some other time. One last thing, be sure to visit my new website. I have many more to come and I'll keep it posted here. Cheers...

Lost!!

I can't wait for a new TV series titled 'LOST' replacing 'The Rebel Billionaire;Richard Branson' which is going to be aired tonight. I was a huge fan of 'Alias' and since the producer of this new series was also the producer of 'Alias', I would love to see what going on next.

Actually, my post here isn't about that TV Series. It's about myself, let's forget about my last post where I promised to give you some screenshots etc..The game has lost its appeal to me at the moment. I know this blog is mainly about me, so I can say whatever I want or whatever I feel. I also know that each and everyone of you who are reading my blog here, deep inside yourself, you are asking yourself "Whats in it for me?". If you've never asked that to yourself, I know you must be lying. Am I right?

Okay, I'm not feeling great today for some lovey-dovey irritating stuff that happened to me earlier today. When things go wrong in the inside, your outside is also affected. In my case, my focus was lost. I had to read my motivation books to regain my focus but didn't succeeded. I'm lost and for all that I know, I think sleep would be the best cure.

Enough about my inner self. It's been a while since I photoblog. Here's a few photo for you and I to see:

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Last Saturday, I went to Studio Akar Karya in Damansara Uptown. The studio is owned by Sheila Majid and her current husband (forgot his name already). It's a nice place if you are into music. My friend here (The one doing vocal) along with his band regularly holds a jamming session and asked me to join as a spectator. Actually, this was the second time I came, so it was not bad. It could be better if the place is was bigger..hehe..anyway, it was nice. I known him since back in my university years, he was my housemate.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

The one wearing the pink 'tudung' is my friend's girlfriend. (Sorry for the red eye, my camera is just a basic digital camera but with a maximum of 6.3 Megapixel..hehe) Personally, I like girls wearing that kind of tudung. If I'm not mistaken, it is called 'Tudung Gipsi'. Whatever it is, I like it very much, not my friend's girl but I'm sure going to suggest my girlfriend to wear them some day..hehe..

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

My leg got numbed for sitting down on the floor too long while listening to my friends jamming session, so I went to get some drinks. Oh yes, my friend music genre is..I don't know what it is but they perform Gun & Roses, Smashing Pumpkins etc..I'm no alternative kind fan but I enjoy listening to them if the radio aired them...hehe..Back to the picture, I pass by this pet shop (Now I know that petshop can really make money ohh) and I saw these tiny turtles stacking themselves up. I don't know why, maybe they wanted to get out of the small aquarium. Pity for them, if they've ever succeeded getting out, I can guarantee they'll get squashed somewhere probably a feet away. The interesting fact is, they can grow quite large in just a couple of years. Amazing isn't it?

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

I'm not sure if these are mouse or some hybrid little hamsters. They look so small that I wonder , will they ever survived if I get my hands on them? Anyway, I hate these pets. Not because I don't pity them, it's because of the hard work involve in raising and taking care of them. Besides, I hate their poo..wekkk..

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Some pets are such adorable creatures. Let me introduce this little fella, this is Faiq. He's 2 years old and he's not my pet...haha...he is my small cousin. Isn't he cute? I hate and love cute boys...ha ha ha..

Oh well, it's bedtime and it's Monday Blues when I wake up. I wish for my morning to be enthusiastly exciting. Have a nice week everyone..

I Made USD2.55 in 4 hours using E-Gold

I would love to thank Alia for her lovely comments on my shout out box. Yes I do love trying out something unconventional and this time, its a mind boggling one (at least for me of course). I know USD2.55 is not a big deal but when you convert it into Malaysian Ringgit, it is (With 3.8 rate) RM9.69, enough to cover my lunch plus, I'm doing it just by sitting on my desk here and wrote this blog.

Last Thursday, I bought USD15 worth of e-gold. For those of you who don't know what e-gold is, you can create a new FREE account by clicking here. All the information are there, the webpage is a clean one and quite easy to understand. So I invested some money in a good place. How did I get the 'e-gold'? I bought it from my brother who bought it from a guy in Penang. The transaction is smooth with the ease from maybank2u.com an amazing online banking I've been using for quite some time.

I have a print screen to proof what I did, but I am feeling sleepy. So, I'll try to make it out for you in my next post. Until then, happy weekend and hopefully, the Budget 2006 isn't affecting you financially. Cheers...

Small Profit

The last few days has been a discovery week for me. I'm developing something that could make me a small amount of pocket money. Best of all, the demand is quite high and if you do online banking, it's almost instantaneous transaction to fill up your bank account with 'The Dough'. Could you imagine yourself in front of the ATM machine and find out you have enough money to buy the things you've always wanted in CASH!!!!

So, be sure to stay tune to my blog to check out what I've found and tested and also some proof. See you in a couple of days.

Super Sunday

I hate the Celcom ad where they are promoting Celcom new rate plan for Sunday. I think Celcom has the highest rate to pay, but it's up the the user to determine their choices of mobile telecomunication. I prefer the cheapest..haha..

Yesterday didn't went well. Had to cancel my 'fun plan' and I slept the whole afternoon. I did had some fun by going out after watching both "The Malaysian Idol 2nd Season" and the "Final FA Cup". A few comments here, I have never voted for any SMS thing on TV. I think its a waste for my money. Better finish off my credit by calling my girlfriend..haha..for Daniel, The Malaysian Idol..Congratulations..(If Daniel were to ever read my blog..haha). Also to Selangor Football Team, congratulations (although you guys were pounded by an instant payback goal just after celebrating your winning goal..hehe)

It has been a long time since I tried my talent on programming. So, I spent a couple of hours polishing my programming and also my copywriting skills. I've been playing around with PHP programming. Its a dynamic page the opposite of a static page which is fundamentally HTML. I didn't do much actually, I am focusing on how to make money by cloaking my affiliate link. Last May 2005, I've blogged about how I make money using Clickbank. So, last week I found my photocopied cheque and you can see it for yourself below:

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Click on the image to enlarge

I received two of these Clickbank Cheques last year. The above is my 1st cheque, the 2nd one I didn't had the chance to photocopy it but the amount is much less. The trick to get those cheques are quite simple but for some reason, I haven't found a way yet to succeed in making the numbers bigger and it has been a more than a year my account is stuck at $0.00 . I hate myself for not doing something about it. Guess I need to get out of my comfort zone and start working out. Anyway, for Malaysian, you're not eligible to have an account as Clickbank has banned Malaysia for quite some time. So sad lah..but for you readers who are outside of Malaysia, you can sign-up and be an affiliate for free. Start cashing in by just promoting links of your favourite product.

Since my miserable failure of having problems promoting. I've made a very simple but technically fancy and so called "mini-site". I'm promoting one product that I could earn $18 per sale. That translate to nearly RM65..not bad huh..hehe..Check it out by CLICKING HERE.

It's just a simple page but took me hours to build one. I hope to make numerous pages of page like that one in much lesser time. My target right now is to get sales that can cover my car monthly installment..haha..multiple streams of income.

Hope my effort is worth it. Feel free to drop any comments..

Slowed By Distraction

How many time do you get distracted from doing something in a day? I'm guessing, countless of time. I get distracted all the time, it is one of the main reason why I'm not rich yet. I hate the fact that my brain can only concentrate at one thing at a time. I wish I could multitask numerous things at the same time. That could free up my time of doing something I like.

Enough about my rambling. I'm doing something fun today and I hope not to get distracted. Cherio..

Ever heard of electronic gold?

A long time ago, I've registered myself with E-gold. Basically, e-gold is just a currency and a way to do transaction. If you look harder, there are so many of these e-currency available online. However I think e-gold is the best of their kind.

Last week, a very close friend of mine came to my house and he wanted to ask my opinion about a program he had recently join. I can't disclose what he had join but I did some heavy reading in the past about something similar to what he was telling me. For those of you who have read 'Rich Dad, Poor Dad', you have known that Mr Robert Kiyosaki said about the 4 quadrants. The program my friend had joined is very relevant to the 'Investor' type.

I am still aquaring more information about this subject. I'll write more again soon.

P/S: Been busy the past several days, new projects coming in. Missing my free time already. Cheers everyone..

Blogathon 2005

Last year, I was an active blogger at Xfresh.com website. Xfresh organized a Blogathon and the top 10 blogger would receive prizes complimentary of Xfresh. I managed to get 3rd place for those who didn't know..hehe..

Anyway, this year. There was a real Blogathon 2005 and its for charity. The idea was simply superb. At first I didn't know what is the Blogathon is all about. You can check it out on the faq site to get a better understanding. Unfortunately, the Blogathon take place on Saturday, August 6th at 9:00 AM EST. So its already ended.

Here is the link to Blogathon 2005 again.
Sleep..Has It Been Enough For You?

The past several days ever since I came back from my small vacation last weekend, I rend to sleep earlier than usual. I don't know for what reason but I am suspecting that my body contains more toxic than the usual. Just my guess, maybe I could be wrong.

Doing some research on google . I found very little information on why the hell do I kept on overslept the past couple of days. The information I've found is about people having difficulties to go to sleep. There isn't a relevant information for my problem.

Last year, I went to a personal development seminar (almost similar to Anthony Robbins one but different speaker and a different approach). The speaker told me that if you are very lazy to wake up in the morning, your body contains a lot of acids (your body pH level is more than 7) so it takes more time for your body to neutralize it. Logically, I think its kind of true however I havn't found the scientific report for it.

Speaking about scientific reports, I found it rather amusing than believing it. For instance, people opt for traditional medication after they gave up on the modern high tech medical solution, don't you think so?

Back to my sleeping problem. Another thing I learned from the seminar is that you need to have energy to perform (I couldn't agree more about that) and your meal you eat also contribute to the amount of energy you have. It is advisable to take more fibre, fruits rather than taking up carbohydrate. The things that bothers me here is, I have been accustomed to eat rice everyday, I can't miss a single of it. In biology, carbohydrate turns to sugar and it makes your blood full of it so your blood moves slower. Thinking about it, it could be true.

Enough about this bio-scientific stuff. I'm going to work now. Blog to you more again soon.

P/S: Tell me your ideal hours of sleep?

Vacation!!Again!!

I love going on a vacation even if its a short one. I'm going down to Port Dickson to meet up with my old high schoolmate. So, I'll get back to my blog when I get back. It has been a crazy week I've went and I think I deserve to free up my mind before finding a solution on Monday. So, if you're wondering where the heck is Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan. Take a look at a map I stole somewhere..muahaha..

I have no idea where my mates are going to have the gathering exactly but I do know for sure that I'm going to the beach..hehe..I have another picture on what I've been working out the past couple of days:

Introducing..MY NEW CAR..I don't really like the car but its an investment for my future business I'm going to venture. I'm going to tell you the reason of what this car is about on Monday...See you soon..

It's Heating Up

A while ago, I've been raving about my employer who employs me. Yesterday, the heat is increasing as I've been very relunctant to do some jobs given to me by him. In my mind right now is to stop working at my current company and explore something else which could be more rewarding. One good article I read said, "Even the young and inexperienced people entering the workforce were likely to change jobs a few times before they finally settled down in a company to offer their lifelong services", so I guess it is not a big deal to change job in this era of ever changing, price hiking world.

But before I do that, I need to analyze what are the pros and cons of stopping the things I'm doing. At the moment, the company is in the midst of acquiring a few projects. In fact, I've been to a few bi-monthly meeting for a university project where I blogged about. So, the project wouldn't be at halt if I still work ay my current company. I have a bright future there but the journey is unpleasantly contradict my financial goals.

Since I've managed to survive even at the moment earning a despatch boy salary, I think I have nothing to lose in terms of earning since my liability is very low. So now, what I need to do is to find a way to earn as much as what I now earn someplace else and then do whatever I wanted to do. I have my own plan for my life actually so its better to pursue our own dream rather than getting my boss dream becomes a reality. However, it is still a big decision to make. Hopefully I could go through this strongly.

P/S: I still hate my boss though..

Do You Invest in Yourself?

I am a big fan of Self Improvement. I buy personal development books and magazine almost every month when I get my paycheck. It is sort of a personal investment for my future. More or less, I can be considered as a success junky for devouring tonnes of self improvement information but seem to get nowhere yet. Well, at least I'm getting ahead of my other peers who are in the employment world not to say that I am not.

For those of you who are a fan of Robert Kiyosaki's 'Rich Dad Poor Dad', you might probably know that the book is very dangerous for people who are not mentally prepared to get out of the 'spending world' or should I say 'Employment World'. Even as a high ranking CEO, you're still an employee. If you know the trick, you can get around that.

Today, I found this fantastic website, I can't sleep now after listening to the audio at the site. You can take a look at the website here. I spent hours trying to devour all the information there. It has nothing to do with Personal Motivation but I think the marketing information is some powerful stuff, if you put it to action of course.

As a result of that, I've made up a webpage over at my abandoned free webspace Geocities. If you have a Yahoomail account, you certainly have a geocities webspace of 15MB. It's enough to store pages of your own personal information there. Oh, the webpage that I've created can be accessed at this link. Basically, the page has nothing to do with personal development but just to give a chance to people who are looking for a Gmail Account to have one. It's my gratification to you as my blog reader.

Again, 2 links that I urge you to visit:

Be Your Own Boss

This is probably the sequel from my last post. Some mental note for myself, when you blog, you need to keep up with the momentum or else you'll end up procrastinate on writing and updating your blog. I've learned that 'Content' is king for a webpage so I want to keep it that way for my blog.

Going on to my story. The past few days has been a very busy moment for myself. Last Thursday, I went for a business meeting for my father's company. Frankly, I am now an employee for another company, almost the same when you join a network marketing company, the only difference is, I control it. The agreement is I run the company's operation, my brother handles the technical stuff while my father do the marketing part, pretty neat huh? Hopefully the business would go fine without my boss consent of course..hehe..

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

That is me walking to my bike after meeting up the client. You don't want to take me as your example as any client will question a business person riding a bike to meet up with a client. You should come with at least a car..haha..

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Again, that is me waiting for my 2nd meeting with another client. This time, the client is planning a project for next years event. It's a political activity so I cannot reveal it to anyone yet. I think it's a ridiculous event but still, the money would be sweet. ;-P

During my way back, I saw this sign that says "Botanic City". Kind of impressive if you ask me. Hopefully it'll be Botanic as it may sound.

Well, my sweet time is over. Got to get back to work to cash in some rewards. Blog to you again soon...

5 Things I Hate About My Boss

1. Being grumpy all the time

2. Giving orders and follow up on things long time being forgotten

3. Giving me big high level management assignments and expect me to overdeliver while paying me a salary of a despatch boy.

4. Showing off his CEO toys but doesn't realize how big his company's debt are.

5. Not being able to read this BLOG because he had never heard of the word BLOG before..haha..

Happy September Everyone!!

Merdeka Eve

If for some odd reason you arrived here to this blog and you are not from my country, 'Merdeka' also means 'independance Day'. You can search for this information elsewhere.

Here's my version of Merdeka. This picture was taken just ouitside of my office window and edited just before this entry were written. You can see a Putra LRT train passing by.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

A friend of mine, Hyrza told in her blog to blog in Bahasa Malaysia (BM). I don't want to blog in BM as I speak BM most of my time in a day. I only speak English in special cases or in a meeting so I think I would rather blog in English as my practice.

In celebrating the celebration, there will be major gatherings in popular places. I am not a fan of crowded places, I'll go into a crowd of people if it is necessary or I just got bored of not meeting anyone. However, tonight I don't think I would be interested in attending these gatherings. Some people go there just to watch the beautiful and noisy firework. I simply see these firework from outside of my bedroom window a couple of times a year from a few chinese festivals every single year.

In the end, its your choice to whether or not go out there and have fun with your friends. Happy Merdeka Guys!

Wedding Day

In Malay term, we call the guy on his wedding day 'The One Day King' or 'Raja Sehari'. I will one day be in that position and hopefully it'll be soon..haha..dream on. Anyway, my neighbour had her day of her life, so a few feets away from my house, the canopy were up standing and musics were heard very loud. Its like a festival just in front of my house.

Lets just take a look at the pics I took just in front of my door house:

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

My house is situated on a corner lot, the thing about my housing area is, there's not enough parking spaces for cars. My house alone got 3 cars. Some neighbours have 4, but the average is 2. When I moved out sooner, I'm going to find a place with ample parking space. Enough about parking problems, the bridegroom arrived at the scene. It's 2pm in the afternoon and its hot as ever.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

The bride went to greet the bridegroom arrival. The make up of the bride is so thick, it looks like a living doll. Its a good thing that being a guy, you don't need to wear all those make-up..haha..

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

The couple went in for their 'bersanding' ceremony. I can see that its unpleasantly uncomfortable for both parties. Can't imagine I am going to be when I get married. By the way, our royal colour is yellow. Nice choice of colours by both of the married couple.

I just realized that it'll take at least 20 min for me to write an entry in my blog. Sometimes it takes more than 30 min to finish off an entry. That is a long time if you ask me. What about you? How long does it takes to write your blog entry? Give me a shout, ok?

New Car vs 2nd Hand Car

This morning, together with my brother and my father, we went for 'Car Shopping'. Its about time me and my brother trade-in our old and torn down cars. My car for instance is park in front of my house for weeks untouched. Pity to see my old trustworthy car becoming junk, I decided to sell it off. A peek of what my car used to look like, click here.

Anyway, we were just 'window shopping' for a practical car. Sometimes, the salesperson can be quite persuasive to resist the temptation of buying a car. Still, if you are decisive, you can overcome that. Let's see what we've found:

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

This was the 1st car that attracted my attention. I know that a Proton car is often known for its quality, still I'm just looking for a practical car to move around, not showing off or somewhat. This car is a 1995 built, so its cheaper but the downpayment is kind of higher than a newer one. The displacement (cc) is 1.6 litre which made the road tax somehow more expensive. Furthermore, someone had already booked the car. So, we moved on.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Now this is a good car. Formerly owned by a lady driver, its RM32K with a 1.3cc engine capacity. The car is in immaculate condition and my brother and I was looking forward to it. The advice the salesman told me was, if I put a high downpayment, my monthly installment would be less. Still, I'd be owing the bank for a few years and making the bank richer with the interest they charged.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Since I studied Automotive Engineering back in University, I could rectify which part is still good or bad with my knowledge I've acquaired. I hadn't got the chance to drive it since we were unable to make a decision yet. The best part about this Proton Wira Aeroback is the engine is a 1.3cc with Fuel Injection. In Malaysia, there air pollution law is not as stringent as in some countries so carburettored engine cars is still running around making the air less healthy to breath. I'm not saying that Fuel Injection is environmentally friendly, at least it consumes less fuel than the carburettor.

So we went hunting other cars on the next lot. BTW, I live in Jalan Ipoh, KL. The area is known to be an automotive hub (at least in my area though). The entire road on the strecth is full of 2nd hand car dealers. On the next lot, I saw this baby, a Mazda..err..I don't really know the name of the model. Its an old car but still, its a beauty. Not too practical for me since the spare parts need a bit of work to find.

Earlier, I was reading this page about whether to run your car with the Air-Conditioning or not to save fuel. You can check it out by clicking here. I noticed from my statcounter, there are people from outside of my country who also visited my blog. If you would like to search for cheap cars, you can go here.

That's enough for now. Oh, I forgot to tell you that I didn't buy a new car yet. Still waiting for my friend to find a buyer to dispose my current car 1st. Give me some comment on whether I should go for a new car or a 2nd hand one? Have a happy Weekend everyone.

The Truth Hurts

I had high anticipation yesterday, I gather up all my courage and asked my boss for a new salary. Since we had just moved and we are now at a new place, so I thought I can have a new salary also. I was completely wrong and I was very devastated. I work my butt out to work everyday doing all sort of stuff to help the company and my effort of keeping the company alive is not very well appreciated. Then I was told by my boss all sort of crap that the company has a huge debt that it needs to recover but my concern is, why doesn't the company invest in what can bring the company more money which is quite frankly, the people in the company?

Lucky for me, last night I went to a 'Making Money' Seminar in KL. I've been a creating wealth seminar junkies before but my motivation went back to my old self after a few weeks. So, it was a revitalizing thing to do and it did changed back my mindset. The thing that I've learned last night is if you want to be successful, you got to have a 'successful mindset'. I think my boss mindset is screwed and I'm planning to leave the company once I've gotten myself some handsome paycheque elsewhere..(I'm evil Muahaha...).

So, I got a CD free last night and it's an Audio CD. I remembered last time when I was in network marketing, I constantly listen to these motivational stuff. Still I wasn't going anywhere since I'm more interested in other stuff. BTW, if you are interested in these type of seminars, a great program you can try is this one. Visit this website.

We are all crazy about money don't we? At least I am. Hope you all could think of what's best for your future. Cheers..

Office Scenary

The new place where I work is now fully functional with all the setup and networks being done by me and my team yesterday. Practically, I was the one in charge of doing the external setup for the Wireless Broadband Internet connection for our new office. The best part is, whenever I feel stressed out doing my work, I can go to the window and look at this scenary:

It's a marvelous thing to oversee the entire KL City from afar. I can even see Genting Highland if there is no haze around.

Well, that's all for now. Give me some comments and I'll come to your blog or website and give you mine. Until now..

I was reading and devouring my countless of e-zines I've subscribed. I like free information but it has been like a hobby to me and its getting nowhere. So here's an article I like and it tells you about our most favourite topic of all time, "MONEY"!! ;-) Here goes:

"Do You Want Money?" by Gary Simpson

Let me ask you a very simple question. Do you want money? Of course you do!

Everybody wants money. You might think my next question is even sillier, but I'll ask it anyway. Do you really want money?

You see what I am asking you, by adding the word "really," is do you actually want the money itself or do you want the freedom it can buy you? Ahh. Now you see what I am getting at. What you really want is the freedom that the money represents. What you really want is freedom.

Lots of money = lots of freedom.

What would be the point of being a millionaire or even a billionaire if you were serving a prison sentence for the rest of your life? Your loss of freedom would render your prime use for that money next to useless.

So, how do we get money? There are many ways. We can work for it, receive commissions, receive royalties and we can accrue it from things like interest and investments. We can even steal it, much as I dislike even mentioning such an option.

In reality there are only two basic ways of accumulating money:

1 - we can work for it ourselves by exchanging time and effort,
2 - our existing money can be put to work to replicate itself.

For most people, it is not how much they earn, it is how much they are able to keep. That is the single most important difference between becoming wealthy and staying poor. Spending more than we earn is the recipe to certain financial disaster. Yet most people do just that.

The answer to becoming wealthy is financial education and discipline.

There are many ways to educate yourself better in the ways of handling money. However, by far, the easiest is to gather the knowledge through the wisdom contained in appropriate books. In my opinion, there is no better general resource than George Classon's timeless classic, "The Richest Man in Babylon". I highly recommend it.

I know from experience that those who desperately need the knowledge this excellent book contains will never read it - even if it were placed in front of them every day for a month. That is why they are poor. They think poor and do nothing to change it. What is in their wallet or purse is a direct result of what is in their head, or, more correctly, what is not in their head.

The poorest people are the people who spend the greatest amount of money on trash. They would never think to buy knowledge or invest in their greatest asset - their brain!

There is another very powerful thing that you can do to prepare yourself to handle money wisely. If you want to have money, I suggest a good place to start is with your own discipline. This is another area where poor people fall well short.

If you want to elevate your self esteem and improve your discipline both at the same time, try the following:

Go to your bank. Withdraw the biggest single denominational note you can (say $100). Put the note in your wallet or purse then, and here comes the most important part, DO NOT SPEND IT!

Nothing will give you greater self esteem and nothing will build financial discipline stronger than doing this.

I have been walking around with three $100 notes in my wallet now for over a month. I refuse to spend them. I go into shops, I look at things I want, I think, "Gee, I'd really like that!" then I turn around and walk out. How much money do you think I have saved by not giving in to impulse buying?

My $300 gives me a great lift. It gives me tremendous self esteem to know that I can afford to buy lots of things if I want. I am in control of that money. It is not controlling me. I am exercising my discipline not to spend it.

I have other money in my wallet. It's just that the $300 is what I call my "quarantine money." The other money is my budget money.

If you want money you need to learn how to control it. You need to improve your financial education and build your discipline. I have just revealed to you how you can do both. Now that you know, will you do anything about it? Hmm.

About the author: Gary Simpson is the author of eight books covering a diverse range of subjects such as self esteem, affirmations, self defense, finance and much more. His articles appear all over the web. Gary's email address is budo@iinet.net.au. Click here to go to his Motivation & Self Esteem for Success website.

My comment: I loved the part about the "quarantine money". I reserved about RM100 in my pocket each time I go anywhere. It requires a lot of hard work not to spend it. In conclusion, you are even more hardworking when you're not spending money ;-D hehe..Have an amazing day..

Tips for a Weekend Holiday

One of the things we always look forward to, to travel somewhere else other home. I just got back from a place and boy I'm exhausted. It's kind of a budget travel but I had fun doing such thing. It challenges your ability to manage your budget and to adhere to what has been plan.

Travelling by bus is the cheapest and practical method of travelling. This picture was taken when I went to Butterworth, Seberang Perai, Pulau Pinang last July 2005.

Here a list of tips on going on a budget travel:

1. Do your research first. Determine the place, the fares of going there, the name of places, buy maps, get as many information as you can.

2. Ask around. If you get lost, don't be shy to ask people for directions.

3. Be brave but be cool. Don't show off when you're in other people's place. Be polite and be careful.

4. Don't overspend. Think first before spending on anything you may encounter.

5. Be patience. Travelling requires a great amount of patience, be cool.

It maybe fun to travel, however travelling with the one you love is more fun than traveling alone. Just travel and enjoy your life to the fullest.

Domain??

When I first heard that word, I have no idea what it is. In the internet world, it's a place where a website is located in, also abbreviated as URL. English can be rather confusing even for a pure Englishmen themselves.

Anyway, let's move on. I've always wanted to have a dot com domain. I don't have one yet because I'm not sure what 'name' to buy yet. Still I've purchased a few for my company and a few clients. At first, I thought I can these domains only by using a credit card, however I've found a way to buy them without a use of a credit card. The key is to find the right people and contact them. The tools are there in front of us, the only thing you need to do is find it harder.

I have this fear of afraid to meet other people just because of some odd bad experience and lame old stories our folk used to tell us. I'm not going to inherit that feeling to my kids (when I have one of course) because its not the right thing to do. I've gotten sidetrack, I'm a big fan of personal development kind of stuff.

Okay..let's take a look on the transaction made to have one of my client's domain name active:

By the way, registering a domain is quite cheap..only if you know where these cheap stuff are selling. It's like going shopping, you need to know where there is a sale or not. For below RM50 (USD14..there's an even cheaper option and I can show you where if you are interested, if I'm not mistaken below USD6), you can buy one of these dot com domain. You may wondering if I'm a cheapscale, well I would like to see it this way, "The more you can save, the more you profit"..get it??

It doesn't matter if it's cheap or expensive, what is more important is, "Is it practical for use?" and "Are you happy with it?". Have a pleasant weekend.

P/S: I'm going to Penang for a special date..hehe..give you an update when I get back.. ;-)
