I was driving to work in my car (My brother's actually but I've been using it ever since my car broke down, can be considered mine..Click here to see my car page). At first, the air-conditioning sounded a bit funny and the climate was not that chilled anymore. After I reached the Sunway Cable Bridge, there was a strong rubber burning smell. I thought there was some idiot doing an open burning at the area. All of sudden, when I just past Subang Parade, pooffff...white smoke came out of the front boot. I was shocked..so I pulled off the roadside.



Smoke came out of the engine compartment for quite a while. I am a member of AAM, so I called AAM to have them check my engine. Half an hour past, still no sign of the AAM guy. I lost my cool, so I left. Apparently, my air-cond compressor belt that was burn and the air conditioning was burned out.



The car can still run, so I drop by a service workshop and they told me that the entire budget to repair is RM700++. That's outrageous dude..Better I sweat in the car than pay that amount. Better trade off the car for another car.

Well..that's how a car owner handles a car. For those of you who wish to have a car which most of you will, I suggest you brush up some knowledge on your own car or get professional help whenever you're in trouble. Have a fantastic weekend everyone...

I have never heard of Robocon until recently last month, there was an advertisement on TV. At the same time, at the same place, the national book exhibition was happening. So kill two bird with one stone, I went to PWTC as I used to. There was also another exhibition on Metal Tech but my interest wasn't on those subject anymore.

Moving into the robotic world. The theme of the contest is quite funny. 'Climb The Great Wall, Light The Holy Fire’, I didn't understand at all what does that mean. I'll tell you more after you have seen the snapshot below:



Surprisingly, I guess to attract more people to come to see this lame robotic AI thing. They've invited a few groups of cheerleaders. If I'm not mistaken, St. Xavier from a school in Petaling and can't remember the name from Convent Bukit Nanas. I was at first just like to take a peek there, seeing the cheerleaders shouting and acrobating, I was hooked. Damn those chicks..hehe..

Okay..some brief explanation, from the main stage above, when at least a ball is put on each corner and on each diagonal torch, then it's called climb the great wall, light the holy fire. Anyway, I think this competition wouldn't be so great if it weren't for the cheerleading teams.

Now this is the time waited by everyone. The cheerleading group dance performance and acrobatic act.

The winner was eventually was UTM. Personally, I think it's not worth spending a few thousand to build a dumb robot. Still, if you're a technical junkie and love doing mechanical stuff, then this is a good exposure for you. It has been 33 days since my last entry. I've neglected my blog for quite a lot of reasons. A lot have been happening the past month and with that period, it's hard to recover what we did. Let me just give you a few highlights of it.

If you've been reading my blog long enough, you would have known that I love cars and Kudos to Toyota team for taking up the 1st spot during yesterday's pre-limenary round in Catalunya. They have been doing tremendous success despite of just a few years being in Formula 1. Last month, there was an Automekanika & Design exhibition at PWTC. I went there on the 1st day which was on 6th April, the event was not as hot as an Auto Show but it's good if you love designing or have a mind of how things work. Personally, I enjoy it. Kudos to the Xfresh team for adding some cool features. I enjoyed reading the reviews on the featured blog. Unless someone nominates my blog for reviews, I'll definitely not going to suggest my blog to be reviewed..haha..

The issue of unemployment amongst graduate is a buzz these days. I have personally been unemployed for a while and I know how does it feel as a jobless person. Lucky for me, I love reading and it has shifted my paradigm to become someone who is more progressive and productive. Frankly, I haven't yet tasted my reward for being progressive but I'll soon get there. One thing I've picked up during a seminar last weekend was "I KNOW THAT" are the three most dangerous words in the English language! Things to remember don't you think?

I went to MidValley for the Job & Career Fair last Friday and it dissapoint me because I didn't find what I was looking for. I was looking at some cheap one time courses but they were generally expensive though. However reading the newspaper yesterday, 3,000 people were offered jobs out of 80,000 who came. That's quite a good number for an uninteresting events..hehe..Still, the exposure was good.

Yesterday, I had this very important meeting with a big client. I representes my company by taking notes of what was being brought up. The office were huge and I'm glad I had the opportunity to go there. One of my favourite TV programme is 'Career Expose`' on NTV7, Sunday afternoon. Last week they showed about a career as an Operation Engineer. I am not in that profession but the company they were featuring was the company I went to yesterday. Sad thing about the programme is they are constantly featuring on big careers in big organization. In my opinion, it is easier to climb up a small corporation than a big one. That is what I am doing now. Normally what happen is, this can provide a slingshot to shoot for the top position in a big organization or you'll build your own empire more quickly if you were doing it from ground zero. In the end, the choice is yours..

Okay some tips on Investment. For those of you who read my blog long enough, you should know that I am a seminar junkies. So, last week thanks to the connection I have with a friend in my previous company I worked. I volunteered to help them in organizing a very educational event. The event if I were to pay is RM3000++ The theme that day was on Propery Investment:



That is my former boss, a millionaire talking about success. He also brought his uncle, a property millionaire from England together with him. The seminar opened my eyes on how there are humongous opportunities here in Malaysia. Unfortunately, the conventional wisdom our school taught us blinded us from seeing that opportunity which is sad because we all could be wealthy. Did you know that you can buy 2 houses each for a man and a woman tax exempted before you get married? If you're married, you can only buy 2...



Now this is a booth outside of the seminar. It sells success books and materials. The success industry is a multi-million dollar industry and as usual, Donald Trump wants a piece of that pie. That is why he wrote a book. I also want that piece of pie but I need to find my own niche first which I haven't found it yet. I need to look harder then.
